Fairplayer is leaving the port of Rotterdam and heading for Mukran to install transition pieces for the Baltic Eagle project.

The German project “Baltic Eagle” is developed by Iberdrola and has a capacity of 476MW. The construction progress indicates that all monopiles have been installed by Van Oord’s heavy lift vessel Svanen, which completed its work on the project on September 1st. However, it is evident that the Mukran Port Terminal is still stocked with TP’s, and it is clear that this work will now be undertaken by Jumbo’s heavy lift vessel Fairplayer. Jumbo is no stranger to installing transition pieces for the offshore wind industry, as Baltic Eagle will be its eighth project. Fairplayer has just finished TP installation on Dogger Bank A, and her sister ship, Jumbo Javelin, is currently installing TP’s at Yunlin in Taiwan.
