With the piling season in the U.S. ending, both Bokalift 1 and Bokalift 2 are heading back to Europe. The vessels will return next year to install the remaining monopiles, a topside, and to begin foundation work on a new project.
Foundation installation at Revolution Wind has paused for the season as Boskalis’s heavy lift vessels, Bokalift 1 and Bokalift 2, head back to Europe. The vessels have been working in tandem to install foundations for both turbines and substations, completing most of the monopile installations, with just a few remaining, as well as one topside. Early next spring, they’re set to return to finish this project before moving on to a new U.S. assignment. In the meantime, Wind Scylla will continue turbine installations through winter, as it’s unaffected by the piling season.
