East Anglia Two sees a string of contracts, Siemens Gamesa turbines confirmed for project.
Iberdrola/ScottishPower has confirmed a contract with Siemens Gamesa on the East Anglia Two offshore wind project, booking 64 of the SG 14-236 turbines for the site located on the UK southeast coast. The project has announced a string of contracts recently, including foundations and for vessel instillation, after having secured a CfD subsidy through the AR6 round awarded earlier this year. The Siemens Gamesa blade factory located in Hull is expected to supply the blades for the project.
In addition to the now confirmed turbine contract, Iberdrola/ ScottishPower has also recently announced for the project:
TPs: Sif and Smulders will provide 64 transition pieces from the Roermond and the Hoboken facility in the Netherlands, with production expected to start later half of 2026.
Foundations: Sif will provide 64 monopiles from the newly expanded Maasvlakte 2 facility in the Netherlands, with production expected to start later half of 2026.
Foundation installation: Cadeler, T&I, expected to start in 2027.
Turbine installation, Cadeler, T&I, expected to start in 2027.
Cable installation: Seaway 7, T&I of inter-array cables, expected to start in 2027.
Iberdrola/ ScottishPower announced FID on the project in October and is currently expected to be COD in 2028.
