Vole au Vent is back to work, with its next task being the installation of monopiles at Courseulles-sur-Mer/Calvados.

The time has come for some piling at the French Calvados project, where Vole au Vent will be handling this work. Vole au Vent has received the necessary upgrades at the Osbit facility in Blyth to be able to lift and pile the 64 monopiles required for the project. Calvados will be the second large-scale fixed project in France that Vole au Vent will take part in, but the first foundation task in the country. The Calvados project will consist of 64 SWT-7.0-154 turbines from Siemens Gamesa, providing a total capacity of 450MW. It is expected that the project will be fully operational late next year.
