Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) have submitted a proposal to the government of Bangladesh to develop a commercial, utility-scale offshore wind project with an initial capacity of 500MW in the Bay of Bengal.
CIP and COP have proposed Summit Group join the consortium. Summit Group is an infrastructure operator and developer in South Asia, as well as the largest independent power producer in Bangladesh. The project has an estimated value of $1.3 billion.
