The South Korean steel manufacturer POSCO is establishing closer cooperation with Equinor to help promote floating wind development in Korea.
POSCO will play a significant role as a local partner in promoting Equinor’s floating offshore wind project, “Firefly.” The Firefly project is expected to have a capacity of 750 MW and will consist of 50 floating foundations capable of carrying 15 MW turbines. The project is estimated to be commissioned in late 2028.
