Jan De Nul’s two newly delivered vessels have been reserved for projects developed by RWE
The offshore wind market is experiencing a rush for booking up installation vessels. There have been press release upon press release about long term agreements, reservation agreements, and framework agreements booking up the fleet until 2030 and beyond. Jan De Nul has become part of this trend with a partnership agreement with RWE for the long term charter for its two new vessels.
Jan De Nul is already contracted by RWE for turbine installation at Hollandse Kust West VII with Voltaire and foundation installation at Thor with Les Alizés. These are not part of this long term charter, which is focused on additional projects set to be constructed in late 20s early 30s.
RWE’s upcoming projects which Jan De Nul is not contracted for:
- Nordseecluster (1560MW)
- Sofia (1400MW)
RWE’s upcoming projects Jan De Nul has been contracted for:
- Thor (1000MW)
- Hollandse Kust West VII (760MW)
RWE’s project pipeline potential projects for Jan De Nul:

Yet, it does indicate that RWE’s long term partnership with Jan De Nul has plenty of running room at the end of this decade and early next decade.
