The Skåne offshore wind park is one step closer to reality, after securing approval from county officials
Ørsted has obtained a permit for the construction of the Skåne offshore wind park off the coast of Southern Sweden, after approval from the County Administration Board of Skåne. The permit brings Ørsted one step closer to constructing Sweden’s largest offshore wind park, with a capacity of 1.5 GW. Due to the project’s proximity to Natura 2000 areas, the construction permit was conditioned on a positive outcome of the Natura 2000 trail, now secured. The project now awaits approval from the Swedish Government. If granted, Ørsted is aiming for a COD in 2029.
