EEW is manufacturing the monopiles for Vineyard Wind 1 which is a good indication for the US project to get its turbines up and running as planned

EEW SPC has been famous for manufacturing foundations for offshore wind with an extensive track record. When a new market emerges, EEW has been out early with the company having fabricated monopiles for Formosa 1 Phase 2 in Taiwan and Coastal Virginia pilot in the US. Vineyard Wind 1 will not be their first venture in the US but considering the scope of the project it will be in a different league than its previous US project.

From now to this summer the monopiles will be fabricated at Rostock, shipped to the US East coast and stacked, loaded up on a barge, transited out to site and installed by DEME Orion.
