Monopile installation at Vineyard Wind 1 is officially complete, with Orion departing the project site.

Monopile installation at Vineyard Wind 1 has been successfully concluded, with Orion wrapping up this critical phase of the offshore construction. The task came with its challenges, as the vessel transported monopiles from a Canadian port, covering a distance of approximately 600 to 700 kilometers each way. Despite the lengthy voyages, the installation process went relatively smoothly.

The monopile installation was divided into two rounds, primarily due to scheduling conflicts. What remains now is for Sea Challenger to finalize the installation of transition pieces (TPs), a task expected to be completed soon. Meanwhile, Sea Installer has already erected over 30 turbines on site, although not all are equipped with blades yet.

The project continues to make steady progress toward completing the offshore construction phase.
