Turbine installation at Moray West is in its last stretch, with only 6 turbines left to be installed, which accounts for 3 cycles for Wind Orca.
Since April, Wind Orca has been installing turbines at Moray West, and it is now in the final stretch with 6 turbines to go. Wind Orca has managed to install 6 to 8 SG-14.0-222 turbines each month, so we can expect the vessel to conclude its work by the end of this month. The execution of the turbine installation has been stable, with no major hiccups. Moray West is the first project to have the 14 MW turbine type from Siemens Gamesa installed. Moray West will have a total of 60 turbines installed, giving the project a capacity of 882 MW. The project is expected to be fully operational by Q1 2025.
