Last week, Blue Tern completed the turbine installation at Baltic Eagle, installing the 50th Vestas V174-9.5 turbine on site. The vessel is not yet finished in the Baltic, as Blue Tern is now working on Arcadis Ost 1.

Another milestone has been achieved in the Baltic region with the completion of turbine installation at the Baltic Eagle project. The project is developed by Iberdrola, marking the company’s second project in this region. The project utilizes the V174-9.5 turbine from Vestas, with 50 turbines generating a total of 476 MW of electricity. Iberdrola’s next project in the Baltic is Windanker, where turbine installation is expected to be completed by mid to late 2026. The Baltic Sea is witnessing a surge in project development, and in the coming years, offshore installation activity is expected to reach an all-time high in the region.
