Daewoo E&C and YIDO have joined forces to pursue an offshore wind project in the Incheon area. The project will have a capacity of 400MW and will be located approximately 44 km west of Guleop Island. It is reported that wind measurements and site consulting have been completed, and the project is now preparing for approval. Daewoo E&C is a familiar name in offshore wind, with several projects in their pipeline. YIDO, on the other hand, seems to be a newcomer in offshore wind but is active in other renewable energy sectors. Daewoo E&C and YIDO will cooperate on this offshore wind project as well as other renewable energy initiatives in South Korea.
