Bokalift 2 will finally get its motion compensation gripper from Huisman which will get the vessel ready for monopile installation on US projects and beyond
Boskalis is serious about being one of the main players in offshore wind, and has poured a large amount of capital into its vessel. Bokalift 2 is the former drill ship “Jack Ryan” that was converted to a heavy lift vessel with a 4000 ton Huisman crane. With the new compensation gripper, the vessel will be able to install the heaviest monopiles on the market.
