NBIM (Norges Bank Investment Management) has together with AIP Management and Allianz Capital partners acquired 49.9% of the German offshore wind farm He Dreiht. This is the second offshore wind project NBIM has direct ownership of, considering its existing ownership in Borssele I & II. The new owner structure reduced EnBW’s share, which has been developing the project since 2017 down to 50.1%. The lease was originally secured through a zero-cent bid, meaning that the wind farm is being built without state funding.
He Dreiht’s new ownership structure will be EnBW (50.1%), AIP Management (16.7%), NBIM (16.6%), Allianz Capital Partners (16.6%). Furthermore, it will consist of the 15 MW V236-15 Vestas turbine, and the wind farm will be the first where the V236-15 is deployed at scale. The monopile foundations will be delivered by Steelwind and installed at the beginning of 2024 and the wind farm will be commissioned in 2025.
