Yet another win for PGE in the Baltic Sea, as the Polish Government announces the results of the application round for the 60.E.3 site.
A total of 14 applications were submitted for the site, attracting bids from many of the industry’s largest developers. Four of the project proposals passed the minimum requirements, with PGE’s 1185 MW Baltica 1+ project awarded the highest score, and EDF scoring second yet again. This is the third of a total of eleven results to be announced, with the next areas expected to be 60.E.4 and 44.E.1. The results of the remaining six sites are scheduled to be announced Q2 2023.
The 60.E.3 site is located directly adjacent to the Baltica 1 project, which PGE is already developing, giving the company opportunities to use synergy effects in the development of both projects in the future. The company has also applied for 60.E.4 and 44.E.1, both located in the vicinity of existing PGE projects
